Where I am based: West Dorset, UK

What I do: I provide advice, support and direction to Development Initiatives in my role as Board Chair.

Previous experience: With over 40 years’ experience of international development, I have worked in multilateral, bilateral and international non-governmental organisations. Among other roles, I have been Vice President of the African Development Bank and Regional Director West and Southern Africa for Save the Children UK. I have held several positions with the Department for International Development in the UK, and have experience in Asia, Sub-Saharan and North Africa, the Middle East, Europe, Central America, Caribbean, and Pacific Island States. I have extensive change management experience and have managed programmes in conflict affected and fragile states. I am now retired and living in West Dorset, having just completed the construction of a home that is near the passive house standard.
