Facilities & Sustainability Co-ordinator

This is a highly visible role, providing day-to-day operational administrative support. It is an ideal role for those passionate about wellbeing and sustainability.

The role includes

• Maintaining the carbon reduction plan, gathering and analysing data related for sustainability metrics.
• Taking phone calls and messages, and dealing with any visitors.
• Promoting and encouraging environmentally friendly practices.
• Maintaining office supplies and ordering new supplies when needed e.g., stationery and materials for copiers, business cards, printers and other internal equipment and kitchen goods.
• Security and access – liaising with the property reception, managing any security matters, acting as a main point of contact.
• Organise training for Fire Marshalls and First Aiders, and ensuring training is renewed when required, undertaking risk assessments when needed and arranging for health and safety equipment to be tested.

About you

We are looking for someone with proven experience (3 + years) in a facilities management or related role, along with Institution of Occupational Safety and Health Awareness and Fire Marshal (Warden) and Emergency First Aid at Work certificates. Having Associate-level membership (or above) of the Institute of Workplace and Facilities Management would be an advantage but is not essential.

The post-holder will need to be able to prioritise their work, use their initiative, be an excellent communicator and keep up to date with relevant laws and regulations related to their work.

This role is 18 hours per week, with flexibility on whether these hours are split across four days between Monday to Thursday or condensed between Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
