What I do: I work on the Data for Development programme in Nepal, providing technical support in designing, testing and the institutionalisation of data supporting social and economic development in association with The Asia Foundation. The programme’s aim is to develop the capacity of federal, provincial and local governments in the country’s three-tiered governance architecture.
Previous experience: I previously worked as an Urban Program Specialist at World Vision International, Nepal. I developed and managed their urban programme portfolio and designed technical projects for the programme. Before that, I worked as an Analyst at the Indian School of Business (Mohali), where I carried out policy research in Urban Planning and Infrastructure, Public Private Partnership and Electric Mobility, and supported the government with developing infrastructure proposals and producing evidence-based analysis to inform contemporary policy on urban transformations. I have worked with the government of Nepal as an Urban Planner, and have also worked as an Independent Consultant for a UNDP project in Nepal. I have an MSc in Urban Ecological Planning from NTNU, Norway.
