Where I am based: Bristol, UK

What I do: As a Policy & Engagement Assistant, I support colleagues working on engagement and humanitarian assistance in their mission to improve crisis-related financing. I work across a number of humanitarian areas, including gender and climate, as well as supporting DI’s engagement and business development by undertaking research on the policy landscape and key stakeholders, and supporting in the organisation of engagement-related events.

My role at DI is undertaken as part of my degree studies in BSc Politics and International Relations at the University of Bath, which provides me with a 12-month period to gain professional experience in the industry. As part of my studies, I explore political theory and international policy and I have a particular interests in the politics of conflict, extremism and humanitarian intervention.
