What I do: I am an independent consultant providing support to organisations on policy research and analysis, programme and strategy development, advocacy and engagement in the international aid and development sector. My areas of focus are aid transparency and open data standards, development finance and effectiveness, and the use of data to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). I support DI in its work on data to reduce poverty and ensure that no one is left behind.
Previous experience: I am currently a senior advisor with the Global Partnership for Sustainable Development Data, working on harnessing data, statistics and innovation to support implementation of SDG 2 (zero hunger) and food systems transformation.
Previously I led Publish What You Fund’s European engagement on increasing the transparency and accountability of the international aid sector. I have also worked on global processes and initiatives such as the United Nations’ 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, the Global Partnership on Effective Development Cooperation (GPEDC), the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI), the Open Government Partnership (OGP) and the G7. Prior to that I headed CARE International’s EU office and spent six years working for the European Commission’s Directorate General for International Cooperation and Development in Brussels and Moscow. I have worked for Médecins Sans Frontières in coordinating relief efforts in Nicaragua, Rwanda and Peru.
