Consultancy Portfolio Manager
Start date with DI: April 2019
Where I am based: Bristol, UK
What I do: As a Consultancy Portfolio Manager for Development Initiatives International (DII), I oversee DII’s consultancy management process and DII’s portfolio performance, to ensure that it runs effectively and smoothly. I am also responsible for ensuring that consultancy projects are delivered to time, scope, budget, risk and quality.
Previous experience: Before joining Development Initiatives, I worked with Mannion Daniels – The Fund Manager for DFID. I was responsible for managing the UK Aid Direct and Small Charities Challenge grants by providing technical support, monitoring and evaluating the performance and management of risk of the grants, as well as supporting learning across the funds, and providing capacity-building for grant holders. I also worked for UNICEF and UNFPA in management roles within their humanitarian aid programmes (child protection, gender-based violence, family planning and reproductive health, youth policies and life skills) in Iraq, Palestine and Jordan. I have an MSW Macro level concentration Masters in Social Policy and Practice from the University of Pennsylvania (UPENN).
