What I do: As Senior Project Manager I lead our Data for Development in Nepal phase II programme with The Asia Foundation, as well as managing various consultancy projects.
Previous experience: I have had a variety of different roles at Development Initiatives. From 2018 I managed our long-term agreement with UNICEF supporting country and regional UNICEF offices to develop context-specific and actionable strategies for their own ‘data for children’ investments. Up until the end of 2014 I was Senior Programme Advisor for our Global Humanitarian Assistance (GHA) programme – leading our work on South-South cooperation in humanitarian assistance, coordinating and contributing to our annual GHA report and leading our humanitarian consultancy projects – acting as Interim Programme Leader in 2013 and co-writing the 2013 GHA report. In 2012, I was seconded to DI’s Africa Hub in Nairobi, Kenya, for a year where I helped set up the office and managed our team of East African analysts. In 2010 I joined DARA’s Humanitarian Response Index team in Sudan and South Sudan. I have taught English in Iwate, Japan, volunteered with the Disaster Emergency Committee (DEC) in London, lived and worked in Nigeria for VSO and volunteered in Papua New Guinea. I have a MSc in International Development from the University of Bath.
