What I do: I lead the development and implementation of Development Initiatives’ data use strategy. I also direct DI’s data use projects, and identify potential opportunities to develop new projects that support this theme. I work closely with stakeholders to support them in their use of data and evidence in their work, direct research and learning on data use. Finally, I contribute to publications that promote the use of data by decision-makers at all levels in order in order to reduce poverty.
Previous experience: Prior to joining DI, I worked for the Office for National Statistics where I was responsible for developing new data and analysis for a wide range of users, from informing the everyday decisions of the public, to working across government providing robust evidence for policy makers. I delivered analysis to inform decisions on a wide range of topics including the Sustainable Development Goals, the environment, poverty, health and inequality. I am passionate about working in statistical areas that highlight both economic and social inequalities whilst also making data open and available to all.
