What I do: I undertake policy analysis and engagement on humanitarian assistance and crisis financing, including working on the annual Global Humanitarian Assistance Report.
Previous experience: Before joining DI, I worked for the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in both headquarters and field roles covering emergency preparedness, coordination, the humanitarian programme cycle and humanitarian financing. Most recently I was based in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) for four years, managing the humanitarian pooled fund.
I also worked for NGOs in eastern DRC, in reporting, analysis and monitoring and evaluation roles on programmes for conflict prevention and responsible mineral supply chains in conflict-affected areas. I was the focal point for the Strategic Framework for Peacebuilding in the UN Integrated Office in Burundi. Early in my career, I worked as an analyst for the New Zealand government focusing on international security issues. I hold a Master’s degree in International Relations majoring in International Security, from the Paris Institute of Political Studies.
