Latest data now available on DI’s Development Data Hub

Development Initiatives (DI) has published the latest data for 2015 on domestic and international, public and private resources to its Development Data Hub, offering the most comprehensive picture of development financing resources available.

The Development Data Hub is an open platform for sharing development and humanitarian data. The interactive data visualisations empower users to investigate financial resource-flow data alongside poverty, social and vulnerability indicators, and the analysis is also available to download.

By harmonising and standardising the latest data for 2015 from a range of official sources – including OECD, IMF, the World Bank and others – the visualisations make it easy for both experienced and non-technical data users to compare information across countries and regions. This contextual evidence can contribute to effective planning and  by feeding into a better understanding of resource allocation.

The Development Data Hub is designed for those needing a comparative and global perspective, while also offering access to granular data on a specific area of interest or country.

The latest data for 2015 is available in:

• Global Picture: a world map that displays all development and updated financing data and offers an overview of trends at the global level. The map can be viewed through a number of indicators, including poverty, vulnerability, government finance and international finance.
• Country Profiles: interactive profiles of 138 recipient and 28 donor countries provide an in-depth look at overall levels of poverty, income distribution, division of wealth and more. The visualisation allows users to drill down into the data and view actual and projected budgets and expenditure.
• Multilateral Profiles: new detailed profiles of 5 multilaterals – World Bank, EU Institutions, African Development Bank and Fund, Asian Development Bank, United Nations Development Programme.
