Development Initiatives (DI) joins Crack the Crises coalition

DI has joined Crack the Crises, a coalition launched in February to advocate for change and address three global crises: the coronavirus pandemic, poverty and injustice, and climate change.

The coalition organisations will work together to respond to these crises by supporting individual action and by influencing decision-makers. In particular, these efforts will be centred on two summits to be hosted by the UK in 2021: the G7 in June and the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP26) in November.

DI’s Executive Director Harpinder Collacott said: “We’re really excited to be joining this important coalition in the run up to the G7 and COP26 later this year. DI will provide support on applying the power of data and evidence to tackle these challenges and hold actors to account on their response to these three global crises. We’re looking forward to working with the other coalition members to support action.”
