Roundtable discussion on Investments to End Poverty 2015

To mark the launch of our Investments to End Poverty 2015 report we will be holding a high-level policy roundtable with The Permanent Mission of The Republic of Korea to the United Nations on implementing the post-2015 development agenda. The discussion will examine how official finance and other resources can work to their comparative advantages in ending extreme poverty and unpack the barriers to providing better data.

Our forthcoming report, supported by our Development Data Hub, looks at the numbers behind the goal of ending poverty. This will be more challenging than halving it has been – people are still being left behind. The resources that could be driving poverty eradication should be targeted at the poorest people, wherever they are. But this demands much better data on poverty and resources, which is currently not fit for purpose to get poverty to zero.

Format and speakers

The event will begin with an opening speech and presentation followed by a moderated discussion conducted under Chatham House Rules.
