Financing protracted crises

Following the launch of Future of Humanitarian Financing and the Global Humanitarian Assistance Report 2015, we will be partnering with the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) to hold a panel event on financing to protracted crises.

Financing is in the spotlight as never before: current global processes – the Global Goals, the World Humanitarian Summit, the 42nd Session of the Committee on Food Security – will shape global strategies and address needs across development and humanitarian spheres for years to come.

The panel will be held before the Session of the Committee on Food Security, when the Framework for Action for Food Security and Nutrition in Protracted Crises will be presented for endorsement and ahead of the global consultations for the World Humanitarian Summit.

Panellists will present recommendations and key findings from both reports and discuss the opportunities and challenges to reform financing in protracted crises.
