Explore official data for Kenya and Uganda on poverty, population, health, education, water and sanitation, government spending and more.
The spotlights on Kenya and Uganda are free interactive online tools for exploring and understanding official data. Their purpose is to help government agencies and ministries, advocacy and civil society organisations, international donors and others who are working to reduce poverty and promote sustainable development.
They make it possible for technical and non-technical audiences alike to easily access and understand information about what is happening in both countries across a wide range of socioeconomic indicators as well as public spending.
From national to county levels you can map data, see key statistics, and compare different areas and indicators in detail. Where data does not exist, this is highlighted in the tool to show where efforts to improve data coverage in each country need to be focused.
