Webinar: Improving humanitarian transparency with IATI


Development Initiatives (DI) and the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) Secretariat held a two-part webinar to support Grand Bargain signatory organisations to use the IATI Standard to share information on their humanitarian funding and activities. The webinar is aimed at people working in policy, operations and technical functions and you can now watch the recordings below.

Session 1: An introduction to the IATI Standard within the humanitarian context
This session is for participants who want to understand what IATI is, how it can benefit the humanitarian community, and what it means to be an IATI publisher in terms of balancing transparency with operational, security, privacy and other concerns.

Session 2: Getting started: A guide to publishing humanitarian data to the IATI Standard

This session is for participants who have attended session 1 or who already have a basic understanding of IATI. It will explain how data is published, the types of information required, existing publishing monitoring initiatives and what support is available to publishers.

Notes

This webinar is part of the project Monitoring the Grand Bargain commitment on transparency, funded by the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. DI is working with Grand Bargain signatories to raise awareness of the IATI Standard, improve technical capacity to publish and use humanitarian aid data, and continue to ensure that the Standard meets the needs of the humanitarian community. At the same time, the project will support Grand Bargain signatories and the wider humanitarian community to monitor progress against the transparency commitment.
