Vittoria Radaelli

Policy and Engagement Intern

Start date with DI: June 2018

Where I am based: Bristol, UK

What I do: My role encompasses a variety of activities surrounding outreach to the public and private sector, where I focus on horizon scanning and stakeholder mapping to inform and update the relevant teams on the current development landscape. I am also in charge of maintaining an up-to-date calendar for the Engagement team, ensuring all major international events are highlighted. This allows DI to interact with influential organizations on the global scale, so that the development sector can share expertise and exchange resources for joint progress.

Previous experience: I am currently enrolled in a BSc in Sociology and Social Policy with the aims of graduating in 2020 and subsequently getting involved in the NGO sector. I have previously been involved in voluntary work both during and outside my time in education. Volunteering is one of my biggest passions and has undeniably been the route of my interest towards development. My previous experience has also been closely related to the charity sector as I’ve worked at both the British Heart Foundation and the University of Bath UNICEF committee. My drive stems from a passion in research and social analysis which I am hoping to mature during my time as an Intern at DI.
