Start date with DI: March 2008
Where I am based: Bristol
What I do: I lead on Development Initiative’s monitoring, evaluation and impact work across all our programmes. I develop and implement MEI frameworks and train and support staff to gather data and intelligence on our work. I use this to demonstrate what is working where, how and why and to identify where we need to review and re-think. I have a particular interest in finding innovative ways to assess the impact of complex and new areas of work such as open data.
Previous experience: I previously worked in DI’s aidinfo programme, most recently leading the Open Nepal project and overseeing our work to support access to and use of information for poverty reduction. Before that I worked for Panos London on the Information Society and Globalisation Prograefore that, in volunteer management and event organising. I have a BA in Development Studies and Swahili from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London and a Masters in International
Development Studies from the University of Amsterdam.
Likes: The seaside and a nice cup of tea
Dislikes: Airports and long meetings
