Start date with DI: September 2013
Where I am based: Oxford/Bristol
What I do: I lead the DI team working on issues related to humanitarian assistance and funding in crisis contexts. Our work includes producing the annual Global Humanitarian Assistance Report; providing in-depth analysis on current crises and humanitarian topics including funding for Disaster Risk Reduction and funding from Non-DAC donors; and answering your humanitarian funding data questions via our helpdesk.
Previous experience: I’ve worked on humanitarian issues for over 14 years. Before joining DI, I worked for 10 years at Oxfam, including as Humanitarian Policy Adviser at HQ, Humanitarian Protection Adviser in DRC, Conflict Transformation and Protection Manager in Liberia, and Refugee Policy Adviser working on international and European policy. Prior to Oxfam, I worked for UNHCR and for the Legal Aid Board in public information and media roles. I have a European Masters in Human Rights.
