Where I am based: Bristol, UK
What I do: My role encompasses system administration, IT trouble-shooting and user support. I am also involved in server and database maintenance, hardware maintenance and upgrade, cloud solutions implementation, and providing support to the realisation of IT strategies in DI.
Previous experience: Before joining DI, I graduated from Warwick University with a Masters in History and Business of Contemporary Art Market and worked as a research and project assistant in creative consultancies. I currently volunteer for Spike Island contemporary arts centre and Off the Record, a mental health charity. While maintaining interest in art, I want to explore the possibilities of working in IT because I am passionate about technology and problem-solving. I hope to learn about IT support and the development of IT strategies in the business environment, and work together with my manager to improve working procedures and the working environment for my colleagues.
