Start date: June 2019
Where I am based: Bristol, UK
What I do: I am an Intern in the Research & Analysis team working on Investments to End Poverty. My duties include gathering, checking and evaluating data, as well as interpreting it and providing analysis. I mostly work on the analysis of how ODA breaks down by sector and finance type.
Previous experience: I am studying at the University of Bath for a BSc in Economics, with a strong focus on development economics, and am currently on my placement year. Before university I worked in Nepal alongside local communities, helping them to alleviate the impact of the 2015 earthquake; during this time I had the opportunity to meet staff from the UK’s Department for International Development, providing a valuable insight into development challenges.
