Start date with DI: February 2018
Where I am based: Bristol, UK
What I do: I support the technical development of DI’s and the International Aid Transparency Initiative’s (IATI) websites, both of which provide access to large amounts of data on poverty and financial resources.
Previous experience: I have a degree in International Relations and spent 7 years in a variety of advocacy focused positions. I worked on the Arms Trade Treaty negotiations and have worked in Afghanistan focusing on Gender and Security Sector Reform whilst at Oxfam. I also worked for Amnesty International UK on the protection of women Human Rights Defenders.
During my time as a campaigner the use of digital products was always an important feature of my work, which lead me to spending some time in a software development agency in Bristol, focusing on agile and iterative project management.
