Start date with DI: November 2011
Where I am based: Nairobi, Kenya
What I do: I lead a team of analysts based in East Africa to deliver high-quality analytical work. The role involves coordinating resources, developing solid methodologies for our work, quality assurance, and ensuring we deliver to schedule.
I enjoy working on government budgets – understanding how governments make decisions on resource allocations and finding ways to improve the results of these decisions. I also have a keen interest in the humanitarian landscape in East Africa, and on health matters in developing countries.
Previous experience: Public sector and health economist with over six years’ experience working in the fields of poverty, social and financial analysis, including domestic and international finance. Before joining DI, I lived in Tanzania while working and studying at the Department of Economics, University of Dar es Salaam.
