Start date with DI: June 2018
Where I am based: Bristol, UK
What I do: I am currently working on Development Initiatives (DI) Modern Slavery Statement as well as training related to this and safeguarding. I also research issues related to DI and other organisations in the sector. I am involved with all departments and help wherever necessary.
Previous experience: I study MSci Geography at the University of Bristol, where I recently finished my second year. Before DI I volunteered with Bristol Volunteers for Development Abroad (BVDA) in partnership with an NGO called Little BIG Africa in Uganda last summer which enhanced my team skills and confidence. Following my internship, I will become the President for BVDA for this coming year. I hope this will give me the opportunity to foster inclusivity within the society and develop new projects to help the charity grow.
