Start date with DI: June 2012
Where I am based: Bristol, UK
What I do: I engage with the financing for development discussions at the UN, and with key partners and other stakeholders in these debates, including governments and private actors. My goal is to ensure that decision-makers have high-quality evidence and data on which to base important decisions about targeting global financial resources for development, and develop policy recommendations to improve the quality and effectiveness of development finance.
Previous experience: Prior to joining DI I worked as Fundraising and Communications Officer with the Mowgli Foundation, a charity, where I produced policy briefings and other communications to support the charity’s work on entrepreneurship mentoring for driving employment creation in the Middle East. I have an MSc in International Relations and a First Class English degree. I wrote my MSc dissertation on the politics of foreign aid and aid transparency.
Likes: Writing, coffee and rock-climbing. Visiting our team in Nairobi.
Dislikes: Loud people in public places; biased media stories
