US$250.6 million has so far been contributed in response to the Pakistan floods. US$182.2 million of this has been committed directly to the appeal for US$459 million that was launched by the United Nations on 11 August (“Pakistan Initial Floods Emergency Response Plan 2010”).
The crisis briefing below provides a couple of graphs looking at the overall funding commitments/contributions and pledges. Which government donors have provided funding and how much have they given? Which sectors are being funded? How does funding compare on a day-by-day basis in comparison to other large-scale emergencies? We will update the briefing on Tuesdays and Fridays over the coming weeks.
